Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are serious, sometimes painful diseases that can cause damage to your body if not treated. Some STD’s infect only your sexual and/or reproductive organs. Others can cause damage throughout the body. When left untreated, some STD’s may cause life-threatening consequences. The STD clinic is open Monday through Friday for testing and treatment. Education and counseling is provided to all clients in a confidential setting.

STIs or STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) are usually passed through sexual contact with an infected partner. They include many diseases such as HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, genital herpes, genital warts, hepatitis, syphilis, and others.

STDs are widespread – more than 2.5 million people in the U.S. are infected each year. Having a STI can make you more likely to get HIV.

Talk about your testing needs with your health care provider.
